Believe it or not a Christmas Party wasn’t actually in the plans for this year but following the number of messages I received after the amazing success of Eden (our Season finale) asking “when’s the next one” I thought maybe we should consider it.
As many of you know Eden was only my second event with Connected Mallorca and for those who attended I’m sure you’ll agree it was a special one! So I’m very cautious with when and where I make my next event, after such a great season finale if I decided to do another one – it HAD to be good!

As I went through the list of potential venues, even driving around for inspo the only one that stood out for me was Tabana – we had already done an event here (The Black Party) but I just had a feeling it would be perfect for the Christmas Party, especially that time of year as we needed to be indoors.
After a meeting with Anna (owner of Tabana) and listening to what they had planned and the way the place was going to be decorated I was now sure 100% this was going to be the venue for the Connected Mallorca Christmas Party 2023!
We had a discussion about the best way to do the event, I didn’t want a sit down dinner as I felt we had done this already with the Black Party and I was caught between going for a daytime Christmas Brunch or a Tardeo (afternoon/evening event). I put a quick poll on Instagram to ask which idea people might prefer and although it was close I certainly got the feeling the majority wanted to get glammed up for the evening and enjoy a good old Christmas party!

So now I just needed to convince Anna that changing the concept from food into drinks and party was a good idea – a big call when Tabana is doing amazingly well as it is and we were wanting to take the place on a Saturday in December.
As always though Anna was great and very open to my ideas and she said what she thought would work and how we should do it, they also had a large booking for food booked in for the same night so the decision was made – upstairs Tabana would be open as usual for food and drinks but downstairs – it was all about the party!
We had a meeting at the venue and i’m sure I drove her crazy (as I do with most suppliers!) as I started to walk around saying what we needed to change in order to create the right vibe that night but as always Anna was very open to any ideas and we’ve worked really well together all summer so it didn’t take us long to map out exactly how things would be on the night.

Fast forward to the 2nd December, the team had already transformed the venue with their spectacular Christmas Decoration and then in the early hours of Saturday morning they got to work changing downstairs from restaurant into party bar & club!
All that was next was to arrive on the night and hope that we managed to get a crowd in there, I was nervously confident following an amazing response online from people wanting to join the guestlist but until they show up you just never know.

In my (very humble) opinion, what we pulled off that night was one of the best Christmas Parties this island has seen and I honestly couldn’t have been happier with how it went. None of that of course would have been possible without the incredible team at Tabana, from the decoration, to the kitchen staff, door staff, hostesses, the entertainment team, DJ, dancers and all the bar staff and waiters who worked their arses off all night – I couldn’t be more grateful to you all, thank you!
I hope you enjoy the pictures, I wish you all a fantastic Christmas and holiday season and I will see you next year for our next event – watch this space, we have some BIG plans.
A special thank you to Anna of course and her full team, Felix Grant of Kitebox for the incredible video of the event, Amanda Berggren of Elite Media Mallorca for the stunning photos and Charly Hamblyn our amazing singer belting out some Christmas Classics – we couldn’t have done it without you.
See you at the next one.
Big love,
