Friday 13th – Lucky for some!
When I decided to have this end of season party I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t very nervous about the weather when I realised how far into October we had to put the night (to get the venue AND DJ that I wanted).
But what can I say – the sky gods could not have been any kinder and the weather made sure that Eden became absolutely the perfect choice to hold this event.

For those that don’t know, Eden Mallorca is a super cool outdoor venue located within the grounds of the House Of Son Amar, designed with a “secret garden” theme to it with a unique open air ampitheatre layout.
The Connected Mallorca Season Finale was only my second event under the Connected brand and after the crazy success of the Black Party at Tabana Mallorca I knew I needed another event this year – but just had to make sure it was on par if not better.
As I sit today looking through all the photos, watching the aftermovie and having read all the amazing and kind messages from those who attended I’d say it’s safe to say we did it justice!

The date had been set, the venue booked and a stellar lineup of DJs confirmed including the headline DJ I’d wanted all along – none other than Mr Paul Reynolds who DJ’s literally the biggest and best clubs in the world over the water in Ibiza on a weekly basis.
I had met Paul at a private birthday party I was working on for the famous Lane Productions team last year and soon discovered he was one of the nicest Dj’s you could wish to meet (I’d ran night clubs for 13 years in the early 2000s so met my fair share). But it wasn’t until I saw the man in action at the world famous HI Ibiza that I knew I needed him to play at one of my events one day!
I messaged Paul with my idea and he told me some availability he had, following a chat with Martyn Smith (Director of Son Amar and co owner of Social Club in Palma) – the date was set.

We were blessed with a great lineup of DJs with the legendary Kiko Navarro opening for us followed by the incredibly talented young blood of the Yugen boys JLeonel and Thomas Patrik who were fresh from there own sell out event at the Castillo de San Carlos just one week earlier. Before Paul Reynolds took to the stage to do what he does best – get that crowd dancing.

Of course as with any Connected event we had a few little surprises in store and thanks to Martyn and his team we were able utilise some of the superb talent of the Son Amar performers who entertain the crowds all summer with their Ohala and Exhibit shows.

Our guests were treated to some stunning Flamenco in the early hours from Jennifer, Jonathan, Roberto & Andrea followed by the unique water performance from Sofia Ralao, Hermes Pompa then took to the air with his awesome flying pole routine, with Sofia switching the water for the hoop before the boys (Igor & Hermes) announced the arrival of our headline DJ with their amazing Fire Show.

From start to finish I couldn’t have been happier, it was amazing watching people’s faces as many of them walked in and saw Eden for the very first time.
Nothing gives me more pleasure then putting on an event like this and being able to see so many people not only attend but also to have such a great time.
We would like to thanks everyone who helped make this night so amazing.
To Martyn Smith and the Son Amar team and performers, nothing would have happened without you.
Felix Grant from Kitebox with the amazing Videos.
Amanda Berggren for the unreal photos.
For our Super star DJs Paul Reynolds, Yugen (JLeonel & Thomas Patrik) and Kiko Navarro.
With a special mention to David Gomez (Fit Club) for full support as always!
And finally to all of you that had the faith in us to give up your time and attend this event – I hope we did you proud!
See you at the next one.
Big love,
Shane x
