31st May 2024 Season Opener
The hardest part of planning the opening this year was choosing the right date! This time of year is always very busy with the main part of the business (concierge!) but the start of this season is like I’ve never seen before.
With so many people asking “when’s the next party” I just knew we had to get on with is and after a number of venue visits I just knew going back to Eden was going to be the right decision.

I knew for the opening I wanted a summer vibe and ideally an open air venue, as always we needed something special that would give our guests that unique experience you witness when watching people first walk through the door of a Connected event.

The good thing about going back to Eden meant time wise things were going to be much easier to manage – I’ve worked with the team up there before, we have a great relationship and they really know what they’re doing.

Of course there were always going to be a few changes and surprises for those that attended the closing party; we didn’t just want a copy and paste event.
The build up to this one was chaotic as we had a record week for the business 2 weeks before the event which of course comes with a crazy amount of work and issues to deal with and the following week we broke that record again!

So no one was happier than I was to see those awful clouds clear that we all woke up to on the Friday morning, people were already messaging me asking about a Plan B – I’ve been here long enough now though to know the weather can change very quickly, which it did and the conditions couldn’t have been any better for the event times of 18:00-00:00hrs.
Yet again the event was a huge success and I can’t express how grateful I am to see so many people return to every event who come and support everything we do. Also for those of you who came for the first ever time to a Connected event I hope we didn’t disappoint!

After the last event we realised how many people wanted to continue after midnight so this time we decided to find an “after party venue” of course Social Club in this case would have been the natural choice as that’s the same team and owners from Eden but as we know unfortunately the club has had to close.
So I reached out to Leo and the guys from Presuntuoso to see if they’d be interested and thankfully they said yes instantly. For those who made it I think will agree it was a great choice and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to party into the early hours.

Before you jump to see the incredible photos from Elite Media Mallorca just let me say a few thanks to those that we couldn’t have done this without.
To Martyn Smith, Mark Flores, Ada, Dario and the whole team at Eden thank you for making sure everything ran perfectly on the night.
Our Djs Alex Caro and Sote Delino, Salvador on the guitar giving that beautiful entrance scene, our stunning Garden of Eden Statue girls, Vanessa for her amazing pool and then fire show with Hermes, Portugal’s Got Talent winner 2024 Sofia Prolao with her amazing aerial hoop display. To the beautiful Flamenco dancers that welcomed those who arrived early.
To our amazing photographer Amanda Berggren of Elite Media Mallorca who is as much a part of the event as any of us and to Felix Grant for the perfect after movie.
A special mention to Mia Naprta for all the support as always for the amazing feature we had on the back page of the Daily Bulletin!
To my Spanish brother and partner in crime David Gomez who brings the energy and the people to these events every time without fail!!
Final thanks to Leo and the team at Presuntuoso for offering the perfect venue to keep the party going!
As always, until the next one – stay Connected.
